World Wetlands Day Talk
Join us for a free talk by Kevin McIlwee, Katie Bacquet and Dr Sam Blampied about Jersey's wetlands.
Jersey’s coastlines are some of the most beautiful in the world. To protect certain areas of these, Jersey signed up to the Ramsar Convention. The Convention on Wetlands, signed in Ramsar, Iran, in 1971, is an intergovernmental treaty which provides the framework for national action and international co-operation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources. There are currently over 2,400 Ramsar Sites around the world.
During this free talk, find out about Jersey’s wetlands of international importance and some of the many species that live there.
